TNTET Exam Details

TNTET 2022: TET is a type of entrance examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. That is the Exam to select Teachers in Tamil Nadu government schools.

The post of the teacher is one of the most valuable posts in Tamil Nadu. Such teachers were directly selected for schools until 2010.

In 2011, The Central Government introduced a new system of selecting Teachers, as well as other Government Employees.

Accordingly, CTET examination is being conducted at the Central level and TET examination is being conducted at the state level.

Eligibility to Write TET Exam 2022

Candidates should possess the following prescribed qualifications to write the Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2022.

TET Paper 1 Eligibility Details

  • Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Course (10+2 Pattern).
  • And Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education in a Recognized Teacher Training Institute / DIET
  • And seeking an appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher for classes I to V (except Visually Impaired Candidates) can write Paper I.

TET Paper 2 Eligibility Details

  • Aspirants who have passed a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.Sc. / B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography or
  • A Degree with any one of the equivalent subjects (Regarding the equivalent subject, Government orders issued prior to the date of this notification alone will be considered) from a Recognized University under 10+2+3 Pattern.
  • And a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) from a Recognized University and seeking an appointment as a teacher for classes VI to VIII can write Paper-II
Note: Candidates appearing for the Final Year Examination of D.E.Ed / B.Ed during the Academic Year of 2020 – 2021 can write the exam.

Such candidates should have successfully completed the course in the current Academic Year (2020-2021) itself.

They should produce D.E.Ed / B.Ed Certificate at the time of Certificate Verification otherwise, the selection board will reject the candidate’s application.

  • Online Application Process Date: 14-03-2022 to 13-04-2022
